and I don’t want to have regrets
Our time together is over now
And even though I know how it turned out
I would do it all over again
Because what we had was beautiful

It’s time to let go
there’s no point holding on to something
that’s slipping further and further away
I really want you to remember me
Remember what we had
What could have been
What we both turned our backs on

And I want you to know that I cared about you
More than I have cared about any other man
I never told you but I loved you
that’s why you’ll always have a special place in my heart
But if you couldn’t find the happiness you deserve, with me
I truly wish you will find it with someone else

That’s why I’m telling you now
It’s time to walk away
I really wish someone could tell me
what went wrong
What we could have done differently
I wish we wouldn’t have given up,
on something definitely worth fighting for

And it still hurts to think of you sometimes
But I’m not gonna be sad
I will think of you and smile
It saddens me to know that all the beautiful moments together,
could have lasted for so long
But I will remember our time together and be thankful for what we had

I wish you all the happiness in the world
And I hope you’ll find that special person one day
You don’t have to think of me, I’ll be fine
