I am a vampire. I have been a vampire for nearly 137 years. You ask, then, how old I am. I'm one-hundred-and-thirty-seven. Yes, I was born a vampire.

The vampire community is ruled by a royal family. The first vampire was their ancestor directly. Many vampires now are of the Bitten, and few of the vampire-born are of direct descent. I am of the line of the Born. There are not many laws of the Vampyre. The First Law is that we never reveal our existence. I broke it.
