Heaven’s Not Enough

I sit in Inferno

under the rule of Hades

wish for Gehenna

instead of Damnation.

In Sheol I’m silent

in the Pit I’m mute

in Death my lips are sown shut.

I know not Elysium or peace

I know not Nirvana or dreams

I cannot see the peaks of Olympia

nor the branches of Yggdrasil

where the great runes of time are carved.

Shangri’la is nothing

Eden is fruitless

Paradise is boring.

Heaven is no longer a wish

for it can’t be enough for me now.

A/N: "I wrote this a couple of weeks ago and just never got around to putting it up because things have been busy. Basically, this poem was written for school for this huge packet that I had to fill out within the week. One of the prompts in the folder was a list of different names and ideas of heaven and hell, etc. so this is the result, tell me what you think!"
