Senri and I were all alone.

Char, Raven and Elias were all in Char's rooms--I had no idea how long they'd been in there. Blaise and Ami were who knew where, and anyone else had managed to stay out of sight.

Senri and I sat in Senri's room, which had been painted pale orange to match the color of his hair. We sat on the floor, deck of cards between us, playing a game of "Go Fish".

Trying to play a game of Go Fish, anyway.

I took a four of hearts from my hand and dangled it in Senri's face. He studied the card for a moment and pulled a three of spades out of his own hand to show me.

No. I pointed at the number four.

Senri paused for a moment, then pulled out a five.

"Idiot," I muttered tiredly, grabbing his cards and mine and putting the deck back together. Senri watched me for a moment, figured the game was over, and sat back against his bed. I sighed and put the cards on Sen's night table. Of course, I didn't mean it, but it didn't matter--it wasn't like Sen could hear me or anything...

Okay. I must have been really tired.

Senri got up, turned to his closet, and pulled out some paints and paper. He turned to me, holding them out.

"Nah." I shook my head, leaning back against the floor. Senri watched me for a moment, then set his stuff next to me. I yawned and watched him out of the corner of my eye.

Bored...

Senri's walls would have been plain orange if it wasn't for the scraps of paper that covered the walls. Random drawings--Senri had drawn them all. There were random blobs of color, and crude drawings of things that probably represented people--me, him and Cilver; Char and Raven; Blaise and Ami; even our parents and aunt and uncle. They weren't perfect, of course, but they were cute, making Sen's room a giant collage.

Every time Senri had finished a picture, Cilver had taken it into her room and waited for it to dry, then painstakingly pinned it up on Senri's walls. Once Senri saw what Cilver was doing, he drew more and more, and even gave us some of his pictures. Even my room and Cilver's had bits and pieces of Senri's "masterpieces" hanging.

Senri was done with a picture already, just a bunch of random blobs in the primary colors. Senri held it out to me and I put it aside. Did he want me to hang it? Or...

I glanced back at him, and he smiled a little.

Or give it to me. I managed to return the smile.

"Shin! Sen! I feel like I haven't seen you--"

"All morning?" I looked up at Raven, who had found time for another "costume change". This one wasn't quite as bad as before, white pants and a black tank top.

"Yeah. Sure. What does time matter?" She nearly stepped on Senri's picture but stopped just in time, jumping over us to get to Sen's bed, which she immediately laid on top of. "So... do you know anything about Cil?"

"No."

"Why she ran away?"

"No." Senri finished another blob-filled piece of paper (orange, purple, and green) and moved on to another one. I absently grabbed a piece of paper and dipped my finger into some yellow paint.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Shin, anything you know can help us find her. Anything at all--"

"Ray, I don't know. You said saw her."

"Yeah, but still--" Raven let her voice trail off, and I didn't bother answering her. "Still--" I still didn't say anything, waiting for her to get the right words. Finally she jumped up, glaring at me, smoothing down her hair with one hand. "Well... fine! If you don't want to find Cil, then that's fine with me!"

She walked over to were Sen and I were sitting, and knelt down to my eye level. "If she never comes back, it's not my fault. Because Cil will never come back--" She practically hissed the words-- "If we don't go get her. And guess what? I'm blaming you, brat."

She then stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

One of Senri's pictures fell to the ground.
