Tears flow with no true path

Tears flow with no true path

For sadness and for regret

And also for things said

The streams eventually come to rivers

I wade into the waters

As my body travels deeper the current takes more control

I can’t move much

A sound in the distance is calling my name

I want to go to it but I first must cross the deepest part of the canal

Swimming is an unknown skill

So how can I cross?

I’ll just walk through it one step at a time with my breath held

Help me cross, keep calling my name

If I am not encouraged, I assure you I will just stop underwater

I will let the fear overcome me and try no more

Death will be a new acquaintance

The journey abandoned has lost all aspiration

As I walk through the rivers of my own tears I cry more and drown myself further

Instead of hopeful gasping, I allow my body to simply shut down

Without you I have no wish for existence
