This is a poem I wrote just because I felt like it. :-) I hope you like it, but please let me know if you do or if you do not, because, like with all my other stories, I need feedback so I know what pleases the mind more, to know what is good and what is not, and what I can fix. Thanks!

A Calm Confusion; A Wild Regret

A breath of air from dying lips-

I don’t understand why you hate me so.

-Your last word shreds, your voice, it rips;

You flinch from my touch, your mouth yells ‘No.’

What have I done, what can I do?-

Even as you die, your hate for me thrives.

-I can’t stop myself from loving you;

And yet here we still are; you’re barely alive.

I wasn’t the cause of your death, now so near.-

Even before this night came with its wrath.

-I wasn’t the cause, but you refuse to hear.

You hated me then, for I chose this path.

That must be it, why you love me no more-

Now your breath fades away and your eyes, they close.

-That must be it: I chose the wrong door.

And you’ve died with hate, your heart never rose.

There’s nothing to say, I can’t do a thing-

But I can’t help but wonder as your hate, I relive,

I look to the sky: you’ve been given your wings.

A single question, my love: why couldn’t you forgive?

Well? Good? Bad? Which is it? Let me know, please!
