a little red mark determining destiny

in case of emergency

conflicting interests as to whether or not we will live

I’ve been advised to remove it

but responded nonchalantly

that I didn’t care

Because as far as I saw it

if one I value so much can one day write

that I am nothing more

than the sum of my worst moods,

most undesirable characteristics,

and the side effects of my anxiety

then why should my parts not be part of

someone more important to the world?
