Love Note

I may be really tall,

And you may be really short

But you’re my type of guy,

Even if you are a dork.

Back before you were considered cute

Before those girls would flirt

I was there,

Messing with your hair,

Mocking your orange shirt.

You might have horrid hat hair,

But, I really don’t care.

In fact, I kind of like it.

But don’t ever try to spike it.

Some of the other girls, in female reclusion,

Have wandered into some delusion

However, I know that you can’t stand them.

And, honestly?

I wouldn’t be sorry to tell them.

I can be mean sometimes,

But rarely around you

Because you make me laugh so much

That I feel like a cartoon.

Michelangelo of Stick Figures,

You’re an unashamed dork.

I guess that’s why it figures

That I’m like a needle, you the cork.

But where’s the magnet and the water?

The when and where?

Let me know, I’ll be there

I’ll even put up my hair,

So I can be the Ginny to your Harry Potter.

Every time I leave the house,

I make sure to look my best

Because I’m always hoping to run in to you,

Though my heart would probably burst from my chest.

I remember the orange hoody,

The glasses of 6th grade,

The plaid shirt and hats,

They make me realize,

That I wouldn’t take any of this back,

Even if I were paid.
