--

It was snowing.

A simple thing like this was the only thought she could find. She blinked and coughed, shoving herself upwards with one arm. She watched the world spin as she sat there on the cold ground. Colors blurring and lines swirling.

It was snowing.

Finally her head stopped spinning and she took in what was around her. Grey and dusty, the ground was littered with paper and other unwanted junk. What had happened?

It was snowing.

Cold flakes of wet snow tapped her head as she vainly tried to remember something. Wetting her lips nervously she noticed she was in the middle of a street.

It was snowing.

She shut her eyes trying to find one scrap of memory, but nothing. With her face turned towards the sky her mind was silent as the cold snowflakes gently touched her skin.

It was snowing.

Opening her eyes, seeing the grey clouded sky, and remembering. She gasped as terror shook her. Collapsing again in the cold forgotten street.

It was snowing.

Pain suddenly raked her as she tried to cry aloud. Her hands went to her chest and felt the hot red blood flowing out.

It was snowing.

She gasped for air, as the pain slowly became worse. Her eyes beginning to blur, she blinked to see her surroundings once more.

It was snowing.

"Yes, this is where it happened. This is where I'm going to die." She thought to herself unable to make a sound. "This is where it ends." She smiled grimly with that thought.

It was snowing.

It was snowing when one girl's life stopped turning, when her life came to the end, when one piece of life blotted out forever.

It was snowing.
