We made a promise one lazy afternoon

When the sun was high and the grass was blue

That we’d always be there for one another

And now that the tides have changed and people too

Things are different but our promise is the same

We have to keep our promise to each other

But it’s getting hard

On that lazy afternoon when the sky didn’t end

We had each other

And nothing has changed
