If you haven't read my poem "Problem," you should probably read that before going on to this one. This is almost a continuation, though it's differently formatted.
And what did it gain you,
this ancient method? This
tempter this
rule-breaker this
murderer this
mistake-maker . . .
this serpent in your garden
of A’s?
.
And didn’t you miss
that problem anyway? That
liar that
truthless that
idiot that
ruthless . . .
that problem who lives up
to its name?
.
And where does that leave me,
your discarded method? Your
friend your
solution your
comrade your
Confucian . . .
have I become a martyr for my faith
in myself?
.
