Author's Note: so I know I havent written much in the past few years, but im back and I'm trying a poem that rhymes this time, even though most of my work is freestyle. please R&R; Also, in case people are wondering, this poem is from a female's point of view. It is based off a story I'm working on, although the ending isn't finite, this is just one of the endings I've considered.

As I see your body hanging there
I remember when the world was clear
The look in your eyes when we first met
How warm you looked even though you were wet

I remember the insolence with which you spoke
How you ignored me on your way to work
You bowed before my mother your Queen
Even though you were still a teen

Everyone could feel that air around you
Full of pride and contempt too
The way you fought on that day
When you blew your opponent away

She called you back again and again
More responsibility to maintain
Harder it became for you to see
Yet you always came back to me

When they found out about our love
My father blessed it from above
But my mother seethed with hate
She didn’t see you as a suitable mate

So we ran and you fought
You protected my heart
But in the end we lost
In the end we were caught

So now I see your body there
And my body’s filled with fear
I just want to scream and cry
To let my sorrows fill the night

So I stand on this tower
Dreading every hour
As my mother walks to me
I jump happily

In my pain on the ground
I hear my mothers howl
As you corpse swings above me
I see you smile at me
