just me

two hours ago,

i was a basketball star,

shooting basket after basket

hitting a score of forty-two

in the span of a minute;

an hour and a half ago,

i was a secret agent;

a pro with a gun-

shooting all within my path;

one hour ago,

i was a tourist,

in the wild safari,

battling giant spiders

and killer bees;

half an hour ago,

i was a space invader,

attacking deformed aliens;

those are the simple joys

of arcade games,

but now;

now-

i am just me

and that's the best way to be.
