Rider of the Sunset
Dreamer? Why have you returned?
I have been called.
But Dreamer, you have no place here anymore.
I
have not been called to arms by men, nor Gods, but summoned I have
been by your
golden avatar, my
friend.
But
Dreamer, there is no place here for you anymore, no need for your
protection,
no destiny for you to meet.
What
is destiny but trials? who's protection?
I
do not ask.
But Dreamer, you have no power.
None
did I have before, a loss is but a gain for I have grown, and am the
dreamer no more,
my sword was never holy, my shield never blessed
and my crown was never golden locks of hair. Of this I can
contest.
But my skills are fair, my armor adorned with dents, and
my hope greater than any promise of success.
