She stands in the mirror
And finds all her flaws.
She is ‘fat and ugly’
her thighs ‘jiggle’ when she walks
and she can pinch her stomach ‘fat’.
She wants to be perfect.
Thin.
Thinner.
Thinner.
Thinnest.
Giving into the hunger
She binges on whatever she can find,
In the fridge,
Cabinets,
Under her bed and in her closet.
The guilt overcomes her.
Running to the bathroom,
Water running
She rid herself of the guilt,
the shame.
The substance.
