Requiem

You're just a song for the dead,
so why am I singing along?
I never thought I'd be one,
to be singing a graveyard song.

You're just a broken clock,
it's ticking and it never stops,
if I was the one holding you,
I'd just let you drop.

You're just a line,
words that don't mean a thing,
you've got such tantalizing words,
and I can't help but sing.

You're just a song for the dead.
So why am I singing along?
