Smile, It Confuses People

We can laugh, it’s so very easy.
But all the hostility
Will never be said out loud.
I give up with promises,
I break them too easily anyway.

But I’ll keep going.
Trying my damned best to keep you happy.
Regardless of how sick of it I get.
I’ll just smile.
Have you noticed yet?
How my words have become emptier
When you clutch for them too desperately?

Still I’ll hide with my smile,
While you shout out to the world how you really feel.

A/N A short poem of how my current friendship works, this is very much a vent for me because I will not write about the way I feel openly on a blog, as they have, knowing that that person can read it. But with poetry, no matter what you think of mine personallly, it helps to relieve it a little.
