I heard the word "Death"

It couldn't be true

I lost a friend

Emotions started to rise

Denial blinded my eyes

I didn't believe what I heard

I thought that it was just words

Your death on paper

I thought couldn't be true

Being blinded by denial the world seemed to stop

My heart skipped beats

Grieving kicked in

I can't believe I lost my friend

Those words couldn't be true

Until I saw your coffin where you lay

This is it, your gone, this is our goodbye

It is only your ashes that lye
