My Christmas Poem

Can’t you hear the Christmas bells ringing

Or the chimes singing

Christmas music on the radio this morn’

The snow is falling glistening white

Sparkling in the sunlight

Oh what a majestic sight to see

Can’t you tell what’s coming our way

Its Christmas darlin’ the snowmen are wavin’ hello

The cheer is up and raging

Parties around the clock

Santa’s comin’ he’ll come through the chimney

Looking for a glass of milk and warm baked dough

Wake up in the morning

Presents neatly wrapped under the flashing tree

Rip the paper clean off, ignore the card ‘till later

Toys and toys (plus socks from great aunt Beth) are littered around your room

Confusion, which one calls your name the loudest

Oh the red fire truck will do

Once out of your room with fire truck in tow

You see your sister in a new out fit

Your brother has an air-soft gun

Your mom is baking something sweet

While dad is singing with just his sock and underwear on

Bliss

Can’t you hear the Christmas bells ringing

Or the chimes singing

Christmas music on the radio this morn’

The snow is falling glistening white

Sparkling in the sunlight

Oh what a majestic sight to see

Can’t you tell what’s coming our way

Its Christmas darlin’ the snowmen are wavin’ hello
