I wait for him to say:
“I love you too”
even though I’ll be miserable the same, either way
he doesn’t hesitate but
still I don’t believe him
It’ll be alright
everybody says, but still
I don’t believe them
It’ll feel better tonight, I say and
I mean it but
if I were him
I wouldn’t believe me
even if it were true
