This is where the story begins

June 3, 2008

i. The End

"I guess this is the end."

He said it in one go.

She was definitely shocked.

ii. He

His heart was pounding; he knew it was going to be ugly.

He took one deep breath and closed his eyes.

He imagined her angry face and her hand that would leave its mark on his face.It was going to hurt. He knew. He wore masks - to hide the scars, to avoid having one and a million more reasons.

He wouldn’t look so depressed in a mask.

He forced his mouth open and there were words...

His words were piercing. It broke her heart into pieces.

He opened his eyes, and she wasn’t there anymore.

iii. She

She held her tears back.

She looked at him – looking at any signs of doubts. “That would be enough.” she thought. But she didn’t see the pain that was swelling behind his closed eyes.

She tried to mumble something – but, he didn’t hear her. He kept his eyes closed; he probably didn’t want to see her.

She knew his dream. And she wasn’t part of the picture.

She took one deep breath and closed her eyes - keeping his face as a souvenir for her memories.

She took a single step forward and her tears tried to stop her.

But she wouldn’t let them.

iv. The End

She left.

He was still standing there.

And the world was waiting.
