push

I felt a pulse like a cheapness thick in my veins, pulling me towards the other end of you. It's moving tight, it's moving fast. I felt a hand on my lungs squeezing my voice to a gasp. You had me under your palms, moving tight, moving fast...

And I wonder, how long will it take for me to push you over the edge?

I felt a web like spiders crawling in the back of my brain, spinning down inside of you like water down the drain. The ripples moving tight, moving fast, I wondered how long it would take, how long it would last,

For you to push me over the edge.

Because this is the edge of a cliff and there's nothing but the rocks below. There's nothing but the rocks, and I don't want to see you fall. Because this is the edge, and one of us has got to go.
