Stupid People

The conversation stops no one talks at all.

Or they all start in on topics that make their minds look small.

I retreat into my books, lose myself in the words.

I pay them no more mind than I pay the birds.

They ask me why I hide, why can’t I just socialize?

We’re on totally different levels but that’s something they don’t realize.

Sometime they all laugh at something and I don’t understand.

They’re all living in a world that I can’t stand.

It’s Me, Myself, and I almost everyday.

I never have anyone to talk too, so I find I’ve nothing to say.

But they all get mad when I leave and bored when I stay.

So someday I’ll find a way to just fade away.

Some night it’ll storm, thunder and lightening will fill the sky.

I’ll kiss them all so gently and just whisper “Good-bye”.

I’ll wander into the rain and melt into the ground.

They can search for me forever but I’ll never be found.

I’ll live among the Earth and trade secrets with the trees.

I’ll let the glory of God and nature bring me to my knees.

And I’ll live in solitude, happiness and peace.

I’ll finally be content to let my heart beats cease…

A/N: This is dedicated to all the stupid people I know in general and Jesse and Justin Raby in particular. I wrote this when these boys I know were all sitting around telling gross jokes and laughing and it just kinda pissed me off so yeah…Anyways…R/R and lemme know what ya think! Laters!!
