A/N: Wrote this on a whim, really; I truly appreciate constructive criticism, so please comment.

Never Wandering Comfort

Be my veil to the sins of the world

Shield my eyes from horror.

The world’s chaos now unfurled

The chance of heaven lower.

Sing me mercy, a dazzling cascade

Of vital might and truth.

End my constant masquerade

And silence the uncouth.

I implore you be my welcome cloak

When I’m cold and mourning.

Save me from the dreary soak

And cease the endless pouring.

Take my soul, escort me to my fate

Lead me past the ceaseless ire.

Let no pretense satiate

The makings of a liar.

Stand beside me so I will never weaken

And keep me far from yonder.

Oh, my friend, be my beacon

And never let me wander.
