Collection of poems. One a little feminist...and the rest...well, just read. Very short poems.

Fallacies

To the pearls behind her eyes-

Can she see beyond the opaque?

Is she swayed by life’s illusions?

Or was that her first mistake?

Once Upon

Sometimes I yearn for the days of old

Twirling petticoats and laced corsets

Strings of filament, threaded gold

Embroidered in my bodice, waiting yet.

Exaltation for being Woman

Decorum, modesty...

When wrists exposed were sin-

“Chauvinism?” my feminist protests.

Bigotry no; Grecian goddess, yes.

Thespian Delights

Hum to me a tune of beauty

Of empathy and bliss

Dance with me, no thoughts of cruelty

I only entreat you this.

Mocking Muse

Inspired One—

Silence the Muse within you

She who refuses my audience

And tempts me with vacant romance

How I long to spout poetry and verse

Yet seldom does she grant her blessings

Oftentimes, ‘tis just a curse

In an empty mind that needs expressing

To those who need her most

—I envy you with passion.
