The Calling of a circle

Farrago

I wrote these all a while back for my personal use. My group you see, never called the elements, merely cast a circle. With the kind of things we were working with, I figured added protection while making the spirits happy. Eh, it works. Feel free to use these to invoke the elements in your circle for your own work. In fact, let me know, if you use them, how it worked! The order they are written in is by no means the order you must call them in. Whatever works for you. If you don't call elements, use the cirlce cast at the bottom. Regardless of how you use them, it's nice poetry, enjoy!

Earth:

The steadfast guardian

Adamant and strong

By gnome and sphinx

Keep our lives prolonged

As a point on the pentacle

Be commanded as thee

And now as I will it

So mote it be!

Air:

The playful prankster

Witty and light

By sprites and sylphs

At my side you shall fight

As a point on the pentacle

Be commanded as thee

And now as I will it

So mote it be!

Water:

The loving midwife

Emotional and caring

By merfolk and kelpie

You guide our risks and our darings

As a point on the pentacle

Be commanded as thee

And now as I will it

So mote it be!

Fire:

The fearful warrior

Of the sword and lance

By the mighty salamander

Come here now to dance

As a point on the pentacle

Be commanded as thee

And now as I will it

So mote it be!

The Pentacle Seal, the Full Circle Cast:

Come hither now the pentacle crest

For we must work, no time to rest

As you command the elements five

Protect us now and keep us alive

Balance out the circle cast

Call the five from first to last

Close now the circle and lock the door

Enfore the laws that we implore

Open our eyes so that we may see

Now as I will it, so mote it be!
