Queen Paranoia

Is there such a thing as a device that can make people see what you see and hear what you think? Because if there is, I think I swallowed one.

It all started at the first day of school. I didn’t sleep that much because I was up all night worrying so it turned out that I followed the wrong schedule which meant that I was two hours early. I was kind of in a state of delirium - I often quivered and seemed to be absent-minded. I think everyone else was annoyed.

I resembled an epileptic patient who was neurotically deranged.

I think it was later that week that I rode the wrong jeepney home. I got lost so I rode the taxi instead. Anyway, I started hearing noises. People were shouting, swearing and cursing at me. When I arrived home, I was very upset. It seemed like the whole world was against me. I even heard the noises outside our house. Everything was so weird and I was very confused. I asked my sisters if they heard them, too, but they didn’t so I just decided to ignore the whole thing and tried to sleep. But I couldn’t. I kept on hearing voices and weird noises. I thought my sisters and everyone else were playing a nasty prank on me because of my odd behavior at school.

That morning, I was too tired and I decided not to go to school. I had the feeling no one liked me. Since everyone seemed to hate me there, it would be suicide if I went back.

It has been three years now and I still hear voices. Even the dogs seemed to talk. And I get the feeling that someone or some people are watching my every move. I could even hear the voices inside the bathroom.

I think I suffer from a severe case of paranoia, depression and insomnia.

My parents even consulted a psychiatrist.

The strange thing is, I think what the voices say are true.
