everything hurts these days.
smells. the sight of food
makes my eyes weep. hearing
a love song incites bleeding ears.
skin-on-skin is sandpaper-on-heart.
some might say the way to heal
is to find something else to
consume the senses.
– too redundant. too new.
too not to the point, and
too not you. time in reverse
says that i fast-forwarded
too much. when you'd watch
that show i'd go upstairs,
read, sleep. uninterested.
you alone on your mother's couch.
some nobody will watch it
with you now.
