Forbidden Fruit

Prologue.

The battle between werewolves and vampires has reigned for centuries. The bitterness and hatred between the children of the moon and the children of the night continues through time as generations both old and new fight each other into the never-ending death of extinction. But the hatred that each felt for the other was not always present. There was a time, centuries ago, when the relationship between the two underworld breeds was like the bond between two neighbours. Neither bothered the other, if they could help it, and for many years, Earth, was peaceful, except for the occasional misunderstanding.

You may ask; how may this hatred have started?

Let me take you back to the beginning; when the Earth was still new, and the air was fresh and crisp. Acquaintances between the children of the moon and the children of the night were not unheard of, but many of each race did not approve of it. The bittersweet taste of the history between the two races has never been recorded; pride overpowering the truth of history - pride for each others' races, pride for their family legacies.

But here you hold in your hands, the truth - as the truth must be told, in order to unlock the reasons behind the secrecy.
