This is my first poem, no flames please.
A Shadow in my Soul
By Feere Gorone
There is a shadow in my soul,
A dark side of me.
He is the opposite,
Of everything I could be.
A black figure,
In my mind.
He makes me do evil,
When I try to be kind.
I know not where it comes from,
Perhaps from far distant lands?
One thing is certain,
There is blood on my hands.
What kind of monster,
Would drive one to do this?
When I think of my deeds,
I yearn for Death’s kiss.
To destroy my demon:
I must make that my quest.
But what I do after,
That is my true test.
The deed has been done,
My shadow is slain.
My joys shower down,
As sweet fragrant rain.
The aftermath has come,
I know what to do.
I destroyed my shadow,
Now you must too.
There was a shadow in my soul,
A dark side of me.
He was the opposite of everything we should be.
That’s the end of the poem,
I wrote just for you.
Now that you’ve read it,
Please write a review.
