Mother to her child, too young to understand

Accidents are split second affairs.

Eyes shift down

second gear

a better song

eyes up eyes wide eyes

closed in repose

and a sad song in a church yard.

You were not an accident.

More like….

a subtle,

strategic

manipulation.

Hips twitching

eyes shifting, coy

flutter down

to a point somewhere below

chin level

eyes up eyes meet eyes

beckon

and a sad song on a dance floor.
