Aiko and Shizuki Oneshot
The Storm
You would think someone like me, a trained mass murderer, wouldn’t be scared of a thunderstorm right? Wrong. I am. They scare me right out of my clothes, to Pluto and back again. There was ONE thing I could do but… yeah, I’ll do it.
I snuck out of my coffin like bed and sneaked out the front door and down the road to New York. The one place with the one person that would keep me safe was waiting there. It was raining pretty powerfully and it almost hurt my sensitive face. The coldness and the pressure.
I finally made it to the old run down building that said ‘New York’s Orphanage’. What a name, what a name. The door was really creaky but I’ve grown used to sneaking into this place so I slid through it like nothing. I took off my drenched shoes, held them and ran into the room where HE slept. It was dark, but I knew my way around… sadly. His bed was right beside the window I usually sneak in through. The place I knew.
The thunder cracked again and the lightning followed it. I ran to his bed, calmly made my way so that I could see his face. He put his arms over me then woke up and screamed.
“What are you doing here?” He whisper yelled.
I shrugged. “The storm scared me.” He rolled his eyes and sat up. I sat up with him.
“So you were scared of the storm and decided to come and visit jolly ole me?” He said sarcastically chuckling. I nodded and he rolled his eyes again. “You can’t do this everytime. What if someone catches you? You are a mass murderer after all.” He said as a matter of factly.
I sighed. “I wouldn’t have been if Docter I-got-bushy-gray- eyebrows wouldn’t have taken me in.” Shizuki nodded and flipped his brown hair out of his eyes.
“Whatever. People still don’t think your innocent.” He stated.
“I scoff at you! Scoff!” I yelled. he put a hand over my mouth.
“Shut up! You don’t wanna be caught do you?” I shook my head and he sighed falling to his pillow. He put his face in his pillow and let out a heavy yawn.
“You tired?” I asked lying down next to him. He gave me a ‘No duh’ look. I ignored it and put my hand on his back. He sighed.
“Aiko…”
“What?”
“What do you think your doing?”
“I don’t know. I’m scared.” There was a crack of thunder and I screamed. He laughed.
“I know a lullaby. Do you want me to sing it?” He asked. I gave him a curious look.
“Did you write it?” I asked. He snickered.
“Nope. I heard it on Youtube.” I gave him a look. “This Orphanage has computers, there just… slow.” He said.
“What’s it called and how did you find it?” I continued to give him a look that made him chuckle.
“It’s called ‘Go To Sleep Before the Rabid Weasels Start to Sing about Hamsters.” I chuckled and he sighed. he started humming a soft tune that actually sounded like a Lullaby into my ear. I dug my face into his chest. He stopped for a minute.
“Did you make that up?” I asked tired. I didn’t necessarily want to be tired, I was just stalling so we could talk more. Be together.
“No, my mom did before she gave me up.” He sighed and I nodded into his chest. He began to hum again. I found myself getting more and more sleepy every note, until finally I gave up and closed my eyes completely.
“Good Night… Aiko.” Shizuki kissed the top of my head ad held me in his arms as we drifted off to sleep.
That morning we woke up before sunrise so I could make a sweet escape without being caught by the staff and Police. Shizuki was awake and dressed when I got up. I sneered at him and he winked.
“Shizuki, thanks for understanding.” I said blushing. He kissed the top of my head.
“It’s okay.” He said. I smiled. We made our way to the front door and we stopped. He looked at me seriously.
“Aiko, never do this again. You have to work up to your fear. Get rid of it. Zap it away.” I smiled innocently. I waved him goodbye and ran off back to my home. ‘Never do that again.’
One Month Later
The rain poured down on the roof of the sorry excuse for a home that I lived in. Then I heard Thunder and saw the Lightning. My biggest Fear. I hopped out of bed, put on my shoes and made my way to the New York Orphanage…
