This is another little oneshot that isn't from first person, but it's still about Aphy.

THis takes place just as Emma's dying.

She had to come to terms with it.

But maybe being perfect had its limits.

Aphy couldn’t- no, she wouldn’t.

Or was it the other way around?

She wasn’t supposed to have a soul.

Then why did she care?

“Please don’t Emma,” Her eyes pricked, but that wasn’t new. It was the salty drops of water that trickled down her cheeks.

The salt outtake was in her feet for… someone’s sake!

“I’m too tired,” Emma murmured and tried to show Aphrodite away.

“Please don’t let go,” Aphy begged.

“Leave me alone,” Emma growled sleepily.

“Emma, I can’t,” The sound of someone struggling for their last breath used to be funny…

Now it meant her princess was one second closer to dying…

Like completely expiring. She had been dying for the past five years.

Three of which Aphrodite did all she possibly could to save…

Save her princess.

The only person she ever gave a second thought too

The only person she ever cared about

The only person she ever…

Emma’s grip on her collar slowly loosened and her eyes fluttered (like tiny butterflies. Aphrodite made a mental note to kill them all off) shut.

She tried, and failed. Tried to come up with the will power to dissect the wiry body on the cold stone in front of her.

But she knew. The air knew.

Emma was going to be buried.

Aphy didn’t have a heart.

Then why did she love Emma? It didn’t make sense.

None of it did anymore.

She loved Emma. There was nothing else to it.

More tears.

Why did she even care?
