Count the teardrops

1, 2, 3, 4,

Let's count the teardrops,

As they fall to the floor.

5, 6, 7, 8,

Let's tell her we love her,

Will she take the bait?

She wipes the tears,

From her eyes.

It's almost sad,

How hard she tries.

We all can hear,

The tears in her voice,

But every time,

She gives us a choice.

1, 2, 3, 4,

Let's count the teardrops,

As they fall to the floor.

Let's tell her we love her,

Will she take the bait?

'Want me to let you go?'

Her voice almost breaks,

She hold it together,

Only to get turned away.

'I love you,

Just remember that.' I say.

A quick good bye,

So that I won't hear her cry.
