Life is fleeting

It gives a beating

To travel a path that is well worn

We stumble and fall; at times reborn

Tattered and broken we mostly stay

Awaiting just that special day

Tired, so tired, cannot go anymore

Hoping for an open door

But none comes to me these days

Thus my heart deeply prays

Please give me strength; the will to live

Please, I ask, oh please please give

Build in me a will that’s true

To make you proud, I hope to do

Desperation is no more

In you I’ve found an open door
