Lie, liars and the roof

The simplest truth is lies.

I wish you were here to see the way they yell

At something too beautiful.

They scream ‘lie’

Liars and I wish you were here.

We’d go up to the roof and watch God’s smallest miracles. Stars.

So small they got lost in the atmosphere

Halfway through their falling

And now Satan warns us to look in envy at the heavens.

At the miracles that could be ours.

He put to much damned air on this roof.

We sit on tiles. Pushed apart.

So are we.

Two lovers in the midst of one fighting household
