hang you up to dry on broken streetlights

hold the universe rigid across your eyes
these marmalade skies bursting through with jagged color,
flecks of stars shredding between gritted teeth
the silhouettes of your fake apologies raped in strings of brittle ashes
twisted tongues kissing eulogies with weeping lips into the dying infinity
this macabre beauty of emptiness wrapped around your neck like a rosary.

("hello again darkness, my old friend.")
