Blindfolded.

Pushing myself harder and harder
Not knowing if anyone is there,
Not knowing if anyone is going to surprise me.

higher, higher
squeak, squeak

With every push
the feeling of not knowing if I'm going to fall flat on my face
exists. As my heart pounds harder and harder
but I keep going.

higher, higher,
squeak, squeak

I jump from safety
Paranoia running through my veins,
How will I fall?
If something snaps will anyone come running?

I land, I'm fine
I get back up
and get back on.
Because I can't just not get back on,
It pulls me and
I'm going again.

Higher, higher
Squeak, squeak

Never knowing.
The world fades and its just
me pushing myself.

higher, higher

A voice in my head telling me no
Telling me not to.
But its drowned out by what if's
and a silent thrill.

How is it like in your shoes?
