First Verse

You approach me like a predator
You're eyeing my throat
No competitors
Have a hope
I don't try to run
I am easy prey
You've already won
I am the prize today

Bridge

This lust sucks me dry
Leaves my skin peeling
This love makes me cry
Leaves me without feeling

Chorus

I cannot help but enjoy
Being your wind up toy
I like it quite a bit
Give me one more twist
So I can go on...

Second Verse

You approach me like an actor
Memorized your speech
The script is not a factor
You're a leech
I don't try to stop
I am such a fool
You spin me like a top
You're a needle, I'm a spool

Chorus

I cannot help but enjoy
Being your wind up toy
I'm like it quite a bit
Please, give me one more twist
So I can go on..

Third Verse

You approach me like an artist
With ideas in your mind
You say you are the smartest
Painter of your kind
I don't try to move
"I am here to taunt you"
I have nothing to prove
You paint me how you want to

Chorus

I cannot help but enjoy
Being your wind up toy
I'm like it quite a bit
Please, give me one more twist
So I can go on..

Let me be your wind up toy
Give me a twist
Or I'll be destroyed.

Authors note: I actually wrote this inspired by my previous work of poetry, The Solemn Adventures of the Wind Up toy. I was trying to make it into a song but ended up only using the chorus part. I'm stuck in the same situation with the same girl again and she's still winding...
And in happier news, I've started a band with my friend, Roger. We don't have music up yet but our myspace is thewhereswaldos.
