Life is Coming

Life just keeps on coming, “doesn’t it?” I say
to the spoon stirring: it is “completely unstoppable”- a crane,
a behemoth ageless, cageless and free - “cruel” and
moving, stroking, screeching as it likes in the space where
I am a small thing dancing on a tightrope of beads strung
along the neck of prelusions and endearing limitations-
Living as all things tend to do in this life that is.
