Royalties

Azure Blue

Light, noise, fear and pain

Too young to know or to complain

Take gasping breaths, fill those lungs

You can tell this is going to be fun

Cerulean Blue

Let my dreams take flight

Up to the blinding light

Ambitions crowd my head

So do the monsters under the bed

Ultramarine Blue

Drown in an ocean of salty tears

Infested with shark-like fears

These doors in my mind

We’re the crazy and the blind

Cobalt Blue

The liquor burns my throat

Be careful you just might choke

My silky smirk is wearing thin

Too terrified to let someone in

Sapphire Blue

Jewels untouched by time

With hairline cracks just so fine

Imbedded too far in to see

Screams silenced in a desperate plea

Indigo Blue

Sooth my aching bones

Time almost out on our loan

As darkness creeps in

My brittle breath grows thin

Cyan Blue

Gone are the days of yesterday

Time itself washed them away

He crooked a finger and so I was called

So much for forever, I was fooled
