Hope blistered like glass in your eyes,
Shattered all over the tear stained grass.
It was carnage, and despair,
But we loved it,
As you picked up the broken pieces of
Your disillusioned dream,
Our hearts broke like drowning kittens,
And we laughed,
Mocking your flailing hands.
