Scars

Scars remind me I’m human,

They last forever,

Visual reminders of my past;

Scars bring back painful memories,

What happened back then

is happening again;

scars the little demons

that multiply on my flesh,

some are old and others fresh;

Scars- discolored skin

That everyone stares at

Just stop looking;

Scars look so wrong,

but the pain felt so right

going wild into the night;

Scars that never faded

Left me jaded

Once yet again;

Scars are there forever,

Never leaving my skin,

They just soak in.
