Author's Ramble: Heyllo everybody. I haven't posted a lot on here in a while. XD My bad. But I'm going to be posting a new story soon call Payback. You can check out some details on that on my LiveJournal, which you can get to through my homepage. XD
So, anyways, this is my first shot at spoken-word or beat-poetry. Please Read and Review!

What’s wrong with this
Picture
As I’m watching the
Mixture
Of the teenage
Fixture

On medication
All across the nation
Kids are taking acid vacations
Enjoy the sensation
It’s a way of liberation
Wait till they see their own mutation

Girls are getting
Sleazy
Boys like ‘em when they’re
Easy
Thought of it makes me
Queasy

Why sell yourself out?
Give it away without a doubt?
Cause honey he’s no boy scout
You act like there’s no other route
Twist away and shout
This ain’t what growing up’s about

It’s the generation
Of instant gratification
Aside from my mortification
We’re all lacking motivation
Cause we’ve got Play Station

But I’m different from
The rest
I’ve got the heavy weight on
My chest
As I discover knowledge
Is blessed

I don’t like my situation
With my dumb-ass generation
I’m tired of teenage temptation
This constant flirtation
With sex, drugs and intellectual sedation
What’s wrong with our nation?

Cause I’m expected
To text
I’m dysfunctional
At best
My thoughts have no place
To nest
So I’m wondering
What’s next?

Do I pretend that I don’t
Care
Or that life’s supposed
Unfair
Soon I’ll learn, circles don’t fit
Squares
