Murder

Streetlights, forever glowing

Pools of light seem to be flowing.

A shady figure underneath,

He waits for something as he grinds his teeth.

Another hooded figure

Comes along and pulls a trigger.

Scarlet blood is dripping out

Like water in a spout.

Sirens are wailing

To save the dead man’s life

And what will happen to his children and wife?

The murderer gets into a black car

He never looks back, he is going far.

And the dead man lying on the street

His blood makes stains on the concrete.

Sewer rats gnaw and nibble

This man, of life he saw too little.
