Prayer

At night I lay me down to rest,
praying that I have done my best,
so if I may die before the day,
the Lord might say ive done ok.

In hopes that I might find the end,
to one day be with my best friend,
but until that day, I pray to take,
each breath for him in his names sake.

Tonight I lay me down to sleep,
I know my love for him runs deep,
if I should die before the day,
the good Lord says im on my way.
