Falling Away

I hear the wind dancing upon the doorstep,
Sounds of rustling fill my ears—eeriness creeps upon me,
I walk through the hallway, my heart does a flip,
I seem to be blinded, for I cannot see,

Then the walls come closing in and I can’t feel at all,
My feet start to stumble, and I begin to fall!

My light has become less and less, and I’ve lost my compass,
My soul is drenched with chill, and I’ve seem to have lost my will,
I can’t seem to find myself; I can’t seem to find my health,
Everything feels like it’s falling away, and I don’t know what to say…

I feel that I’m alone—alone, just by my lonesome,
I hear nothing around me, and everything seems calm,
But then I can feel my fingertips growing numb,
It climbs through my veins and down to my palms,
