Spending time is more fun with you than anyone could imagine

Wasting time on you is better than anything else I could do

You know me better than-

A captain knows his crew

A shoemaker knows his shoe

And it’s the same for me to you

Yet you’re slipping away

You’re slipping away to something more…

You say you’ll be alright and assure it with a hug

But my fears remind me four years- four years-

A lot can change in four years

I know this is what you want

You’ve worked towards it non-stop

You’re a solider- a dream finally come true

I wish you could promise me you’ll be back soon

But don’t mistaken I’m proud of you brother, too

We say our goodbyes and I tell you I will remain by your side

No w and until you’re gone

Better yet till the end of time

I watch my brother, my friend become a soldier

No longer at play but now going to fight

I race through my thoughts

Afraid of forgetting memories we’ve made but then I realize

These memories we have are examples of what are to help us get through days, days like today

So with our final moment and last say

I mouth “I love you”

And you mouth it back

I watch you pull away

And do my best to remember what I hope will not be our last embrace
