& before redemption &

"Oh who shall deliver me from this body of death?"
This sin tears, forces, drags me to the depth.
Release me, O Lord,
From my captivity-
The prison cell of my own flesh.

Chained down,
The bars of steel and rust never rot away.
Iron encagement-
Blackness of soul-
Darkness of thought-

The body strapped to me decays and rots
Until the disease corrupts and overtakes me
For a like fate.

The stench is unbearable-
The ache and pain of constant torment
Deteriorates the strongest of sanities.

O Lord, be my Savior
From this death that is my own.

…'The Inferno' might not be the healthiest thing to read…ugh, sorry.
