It shines its light through clouds of greyish blue

The heating rays burn bright to me and you

From dawn till dusk it sails throughout the sky

It runs its course without a question why

So now the sun does shine so bright and proud

Who can forget that it’s so big and round

So shine my friend I really want to see

Your lovely face, come shine your light on me

The time has come for night to come around

To you I say it’s time to settle down

Goodbye to you until we meet again

I’ll wait for you until the night does end
